If Aquaman ever gets tired of being the king of Atlantis, he could hit the road with his own metal band.
Jason Momoa made a brief debut as DC's Arthur Curry/Aquaman in
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," and he's now filming
"Justice League" with the same director,
Zack Snyder.
Synder just shared a set photo of Momoa in full costume:
More, please.
"Justice League" producer Deborah Snyder confirmed that the main villain of the film will be Steppenwolf. She also said (via Comicbook.com) the story takes place a few months after "Batman v Superman" left off with -- MASSIVE BvS SPOILER ALERT -- the death of Superman, which affected Batman in a "profound way." Snyder continued:
"And he really, I think, starts to regain his faith in humanity. He also feels like there is something coming, something imminently coming, maybe even here already. So he feels, and with the help of Diana Prince [Wonder Woman], that he needs to find the rest of the metahumans. So basically this story is about finding the group and bringing them all together. And it's a lot of fun because we get to go on that journey, and we get to see the different personalities of all the members of the Justice League. And that's really generally what it's about."
In addition to Momoa, "Justice League" will star Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Ray Fischer as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
"Justice League" is scheduled for release November 17, 2017. Aquaman's own solo film, where
he'll battle Black Manta, is scheduled for release in 2018.
