Michael B. Jordan Will Make Directorial Debut With 'The Stars Beneath Our Feet'

"Creed" star Michael B. Jordan will step behind the camera to direct "The Stars Beneath Our Feet," about a boy whose love of Legos helps him survive the Harlem projects.

It's based on the novel by David Barclay Moore novel, who will also write the script and serve as executive producer, Deadline reports. In a tweet, Moore announced, "Michael is a hardworking, passionate multi-talent. I know his film will rock. So excited."

"Directing has been an area I've wanted to explore for some time now," the actor told Deadline. "'The Stars Beneath Our Feet' tells a story that really spoke to me, and I'm looking forward to jumping behind the camera. I've had the opportunity to work with some very smart and talented directors and it inspired me to take on this new challenge."

Jordan next appears in "Black Panther," directed by Ryan Cooger, who also directed Jordan in "Fruitvale Station" and "Creed."

He recently wrapped HBO's adaptation of Ray Bradbury sci-fi classic "Fahrenheit 451." He's also expected to star in a sequel to "Creed" that Sylvester Stallone will direct.
