Oscars 2018: Watch Stars Surprise Lucky Moviegoers With Thank You Treats

Wonder Woman and Luke Skywalker just handed out free treats to lucky fans. If only we were among them.

Gal Gadot rubbed it in, gushing, "This is so much better than the Oscars!"

"This" was Oscars 2018 host Jimmy Kimmel gathering about a dozen stars to head next door to a movie theater showing a sneak preview of "A Wrinkle in Time." The reason wasn't just to surprise them, it was to thank them for heading out to the movies. Movies wouldn't happen without an audience, and without movies there would be no Oscars. (The fans should've gotten their own Oscar statues. Or at least jet skis.)

First, Wonder Woman herself walked into the theater with Jimmy Kimmel. "We brought you some goodies!" Jimmy said there was a strong odor of marijuana in the theater, so they would probably appreciate the treats.

Other stars stepped in to add more food -- including Margot Robbie, Armie Hammer, Lupita Nyong'o, Mark Hamill, Ansel Elgort, Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Guillermo del Toro, and more.

Stars still in the Oscars theater next door waved to the movie patrons and thanked them. If only we all could've been there.

Watch the moment:But if we had been in that theater next door we might've missed Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph's hilarious podium banter. Give those two ladies a movie!
