A stunt person has been killed on the set of "Deadpool 2."
TMZ was the first to report about the accident, which occurred on Monday morning while filming a scene for the superhero flick. According to TMZ, the female performer -- whose identity has not yet been released -- was performing a stunt on a motorcycle when she "went airborne" and "Her bike crashed through the glass of a ground-floor studio."
"Witnesses say she never applied the brakes," TMZ reports. The driver was taken to a local hospital, but it's unclear when she was pronounced dead.
Local authorities confirmed the accident to Variety, saying in a statement, "Vancouver Police can confirm that a female stunt driver has died on the set of 'Deadpool' during a stunt on a motorcycle."
This is the second high-profile on-set accident involving stunts this week, with Tom Cruise reportedly injured while filming a scene for "Mission: Impossible 6."
