The anticipation for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is building steadily, with Lucasfilm doling out bits and pieces to works fans into a fever pitch.
Now, they're released a bunch of new photos from the movie to Entertainment Weekly. Most of them are character portraits, but there are some intriguing glimpses, including one of Kylo Ren's (Adam Driver) new TIE fighter.
First, here's a look at Kylo looking very pensive, with his new scar running down his face:
Kylo's new ship, the TIE Silencer, is modeled after Darth Vader's fighter, because Kylo worships his grandfather:
Speaking of spaceships, the next two stills show Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Finn (John Boyega) in their respective fighters:
The next image showcases Canto Bight, a seedy casino city in the vein of Las Vegas. Finn and new buddy Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) journey there for some kind of mission:
The next two pics show (Daisy Ridley) looking perturbed, or maybe frustrated, and facing off with Luke. As Ridley told EW, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) doesn't give her a warm welcome.
"'Oh my God, this other man that I lost within a couple days was somewhat of a father figure," Ridley described Rey's thought process. "Now he's gone, and instead I'm with this grumpy guy on an island who doesn't want me here.'"
And last but certainly never least is a lovely image of Carrie Fisher as Princess/General Leia, as she's directed in a scene by Rian Johnson:
"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" opens December 15.
