'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Extras Will Include at Least 10 Captain America PSAs

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" fans can look forward to a wealth of bonus material on the DVD and Blu-ray, but first they'll have to exercise some *patience.*

Light SPOILERS ahead from the movie.

We all knew Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) was starring in "Homecoming" with Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), but who knew that Captain America (Chris Evans) would steal every scene with his PSAs? Turns out, high school kids have to watch videos of Cap talking about detention, P.E., and (awkward) body changes as part of the curriculum. Each little cameo was a delight, and we can expect to see more in the home release.

Director Jon Watts told Collider he had Chris Evans for a set amount of time, so he just wrote a bunch of PSAs and had Evans read off a teleprompter.

"We put it together like it was the actual DVD that they show at the school, so it just is clicking from one to another to another. [...] It was like Captain America just showed up and had to do this stuff for the government... He's just reading it off the scrolling thing and being like, 'Are you sure you want me to say this?'"

Watts told Collider there will be at least 10 PSAs for the home release, adding that there should be a "Play All" feature showing them all back-to-back.

So at least we can look forward to that extra, even if Marisa Tomei's big Aunt May scene won't be featured, since it never even got filmed. Marvel has yet to set an official home release date, 'cause the movie just opened in theaters last week, but it should arrive this fall.

POST-CREDITS SPOILER AHEAD.

Some fans loved the irony of that "patience" Cap PSA in the post-credits, while others thought it was lame and disappointing (especially after it was teased as one of the best-end-credits scenes ever.) We're on the love side, but in case you're wondering why they decided to go with that, Watts told Collider:

"When we were shooting, Eric Carroll, one of the Marvel producers and I just started laughing about, 'What if we did one about patience and make that be a final thing?'"

And it's not like they didn't have a more meaty mid-credits scene to satisfy people wanting a link to future MCU movies. The tone of the final Cap PSA seemed to fit the rest of "Homecoming," but not everyone appreciated waiting so long for that. Too bad!
