Critics Trash the 'The Mummy' as 'The Worst Movie Tom Cruise Has Ever Made' ~ amazing movies

Ouch! The reviews for "The Mummy" are in and critics aren't holding back, with one calling it "by far the worst movie Tom Cruise has ever made."

Wow, even worse than '80s dud "Cocktail"? Apparently so, since another critic blasted it as "a joyless and soulless bore of a disaster." Eep!

It's not a good start for the launch of Universal's "Dark Universe," with reboots of "Bride of Frankenstein," "The Wolfman" and "Dracula" already announced. "The Mummy" currently has a 27% Rotten Tomatoes critics score, which puts it in the review basement along with 2004's "Van Helsing."

Maybe time to bring Brendan Fraser back to battle mummies?

Here are some of the most savage reviews of the film, which co-stars Sofia Boutella as the Mummy and Russell Crowe as Dr. Jekyll. It opens June 9.

Hey, but at least one guy says it's not as bad as "Alien: Covenant." So there's that.
