"Rogue One," which takes place shortly before the events of "Episode IV: A New Hope," centers around the burgeoning Rebel Alliance's mission to steal the plans to the Empire's new Death Star, a super space station capable of destroying entire planets. And in these new posters, we see those crucial plans projected onto each character's face, emphasizing those plans' importance to the plot as well as to each character individually.

In addition to highlighting the film's underlying themes, the revelation of these posters -- which were first shared by the official Star Wars Twitter account -- included a few more details about the movie's main and supporting characters. New wacky robot sidekick K-2SO (voiced by Alan Tudyk, who also did a motion-capture performance for the droid), for instance, was initially built by the Empire, but was reprogrammed by the Rebels to use in the fight against it.
