The latest outing in the venerable "Transformers" franchise, "
Transformers: The Last Knight," is currently in production, and one of the flick's shooting locations should look familiar to "Harry Potter" fans.
UK tabloid
The Mirror reports that "The Last Knight" has currently set up shop at Alnwick Castle, a famous location in Northern England that was also once the home of the "Potter" franchise.
According to CinemaBlend, Alnwick stood in for portions of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the first two flicks in the franchise, "
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," which were directed by Chris Columbus. Once Columbus left the franchise, however, future directors chose other UK locations to represent Hogwarts.
According to The Mirror, "The Last Knight" was filming some explosions and car chase scenes near the castle this week, and also set up some shots inside its walls as well. Considering the film's inclusion of King Arthur, it's safe to say that the legendary medieval ruler will have something to do with the Alnwick location, though only stars Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Hopkins were spotted on set so far. No word yet on whether or not Dumbledore will make an appearance.
"Transformers: The Last Knight" is slated to hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
