'Wonder Woman' Director Slams 'Entirely False' Report Calling Film 'a Mess'

"Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins is angrily deflecting bullets after someone accused her film of being "another mess" for Warner Bros./DC.

Wonder Woman is finally getting her own solo film, due in theaters next June, and it finished filming this past spring with Gal Gadot in the lead role. The movie recently ended up dragged into a (supposedly) former Warner Bros.'s employee's open letter to Warner Bros Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara. The letter, posted to Panjiba, started with the alleged former employee saying he/she felt angry, let down, and frustrated by "Suicide Squad," and blamed Tsujihara for "completely whiffing at properties" that fans are desperate to love and enjoy.

Most of the letter is not about "Wonder Woman," but then there's this part, which is almost an aside:

"What are you even doing? I wish to God you were forced to live out of a car until you made a #1 movie of the year. Maybe Wonder Woman wouldn't be such a mess. Don't try to hide behind the great trailer. People inside are already confirming it's another mess. It is almost impressive how you keep rewarding the same producers and executives for making the same mistakes, over and over."

Well, pump the brakes on that because it's news to Patty Jenkins that her film is a mess:

This world could use a lot more Lasso of Truth time.

The "Wonder Woman" trailer wowed Comic-Con, so all we can do is hope that the final film lives up to that promise when it's released June 2, 2017.
