Anton Yelchin, best known for playing Chekov in the new "Star Trek" films, has died. He was 27.The "Green Room" star was found dead around early Sunday morning, according to TMZ, after suffering a freak car accident at his home in the San Fernando Valley.
The actor was reportedly found pinned between his car and a brick mailbox on his property. The car was still in neutral when the body was discovered and authorities have yet to ascertain why the actor left his vehicle.
One of Yelchin's last films will be this summer's "Star Trek Beyond," which opens July 22.
