Robert Downey Jr: 'Iron Man 4' Isn't Coming ... Unless You Count 'Civil War' ~ amazing movies

Robert Downey Jr. has no plans for a fourth "Iron Man" movie, but he also admits that the movie coming out this May 6, "Captain America: Civil War," is part Iron Man solo film and part "Avengers" movie, while ostensibly being a Captain America standalone. No wonder it's reportedly Marvel's longest movie to date!

RDJ addressed the "Iron Man 4" idea in an interview with USA Today, telling them it would be great, but "I don't think that's in the cards." He added, of "Civil War," "In a way it's Cap 3, but for me it's like my little Iron Man 4, and then it's back to the thing we all recognize. Everything pulls over to the side of the road when the thunder of an Avengers thing comes through because that's how it is until it changes. If it changes."

It does seem like Cap vs. Iron Man is basically half an Iron Man movie. And it's not a shock to hear that Marvel isn't working on ID4, since RDJ said in 2014 that there were no plans to do another one.

Oh well. It's not like Tony Stark is going away (right?), and neither is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase Three starts with "Civil War" and continues with "Doctor Strange," "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," "Spider-Man," "Thor: Ragnarok," "Black Panther," the two-part "Avengers: Infinity War" movies, "Ant-Man and the Wasp," "Captain Marvel," etc.

Are you disappointed that there's no "Iron Man 4" coming? At least there are no reboot plans... On a scale of 1 to 10, how loud would you scream if Marvel turned around one day and did a "young Tony Stark" origin story thing, with another actor as Iron Man?
