The first trailer for This is the third movie in the "Purge" franchise and the political theme follows Elizabeth Mitchell ("Lost," "V") as Senator Charlene "Charlie" Roan, the sole survivor of a Purge Night attack on her family 15 years earlier. Now she wants to stop the Purge once and for all, and others would like to stop her. (It's almost like she's a Bernie/Hillary hybrid and the Purge protectors are Trump, but mayyyyybe that's reading too much into things.)
"Election Year," aka "The Purge 3," brings back Frank Grillo and Edwin Hodge, and includes Mykelti Williamson and Betty Gabriel. It's set for a July 1, 2016 release.
