The trailer is more of an extended clip featuring Fiennes as a movie director trying to coach his country bumpkin star (Alden Ehrenreich) to say a line with the proper posh British accent. Fiennes grow increasingly annoyed as Ehrenreich tries desperately to form the words in the same way. The "show a clip" style of trailer seems to be coming back in vogue — the "Zootopia" one made us giggle, and this one was quite amusing, too.
"Hail, Caesar!" is set in the Golden Age of Hollywood, with Josh Brolin starring as a public relations "fixer." Then, he's called upon to round up cash to save kidnapped actor Baird Whitlock (George Clooney), and Coens-esque hijinks ensue.
Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Jonah Hill, and Frances McDormand also star. "Hail, Caesar!" opens in theaters February 5.
