First Full 'The Hateful Eight' Trailer Is Finally Here

Enough teasers, posters, and photos. It's time to finally see Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" in action! The Weinstein Company just released a solid new "Hateful 8" trailer on August 12. They labeled it an "Official Teaser Trailer" but -- thankfully -- it's not just a tease, it has plenty of footage and a great showcase for several characters.

Samuel L. Jackson launches the trailer with some classic coolness (literally, in a winter storm) and Kurt Russell shares us a piece of the plot in a speech to a group of guys in a stagecoach stopover, alongside Jennifer Jason Leigh: "This here is Daisy Domergue. She's wanted dead or alive for murder. That sun comes out, I'm taking this woman to hang. Is there anybody here committed to stopping me from doing that?" Is there? We'll see. We're promised a story about eight strangers with one deadly connection. As Russell's character later teases, "One of them fellas is not what he says he is."

Well, good. That's intriguing. Check it out:

Here's the official synopsis:

In THE HATEFUL EIGHT, set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as "The Hangman," will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town's new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie's Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie's, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces. Bob (Demian Bichir), who's taking care of Minnie's while she's visiting her mother, is holed up with Oswaldo Mobray (Tim Roth), the hangman of Red Rock, cow-puncher Joe Gage (Michael Madsen), and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside stopover, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all..."

"The Hateful Eight" will be released in select theaters on Christmas Day (so it's ready for Oscar consideration) and everywhere on January 8, 2016. What do you think so far?
