It's a fitting juxtaposition, since Rogen in particular comes in like a wrecking ball and basically destroys the holiday, thanks to a combination of drugs, booze, and an epic party that he and his buddies are desperate to attend. "The Night Before" follows lifelong friends Ethan (Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Rogen), and Chris (Mackie), who have enjoyed an annual night of debauchery for years, but are ending the tradition because everyone is growing up -- for the most part, anyway.
They decide to have one last hurrah, and naturally, things don't exactly go according to plan, mostly thanks to Isaac experiencing an insanely bad trip. That leads to lots of hilarity, particularly the scene where Jewish Isaac attends midnight mass with his Christian wife (Jillian Bell), and is weirded out by all the Jesus iconography; later, he wanders into a manger scene and pets the fake sheep, thinking they're dogs.
The flick was produced by the same masterminds behind previous Rogen hits like "This Is the End" and "The Interview," and if you liked those films, it looks like you'll enjoy "The Night Before," too. Lots of funny folks co-star, including Lizzy Caplan and Mindy Kaling, and there's even a cameo from Cyrus herself, who belts out her hit with Gordon-Levitt.
Check out the trailer below. "The Night Before" hits theaters on November 25.
