
The teens have spoken - and they love fast cars, a cappella, and vampires.
The 2015 Teen Choice Award nominations were unveiled today, and the movie and TV categories were dominated by several titles, including
"Furious 7," "Pitch Perfect 2," "The Vampire Diaries," and "Empire."
"Furious 7" landed five nominations: Choice Action/Adventure Movie," Choice Action/Adventure Movie Actor for
Vin Diesel and
Paul Walker, and Choice Action/Adventure Movie Actress for
Jordana Brewster and
Michelle Rodriguez.
On the comedy side, "Pitch Perfect 2" nabbed four nominations for Choice Comedy Movie, Choice Comedy Actress (
Anna Kendrick and
Rebel Wilson), and Choice Comedy Actor (
Skylar Astin).
In the TV realm,
"Pretty Little Liars" and
"The Vampire Diaries" ruled with multiple nominations in the drama and sci-fi/fantasy categories, respectively. Freshman drama
"Empire" made a good showing, racking up nominations for Choice Drama, Choice Drama Actress (Taraji P. Henson), and Choice Drama Actor (Jussie Smollett).
