A new photo from the upcoming Marvel sequel "Ant-Man and the Wasp" has arrived, and it finally unites our titular duo in all their superhero glory.
The image features Evangeline Lilly and Paul Rudd in character -- and in Lilly's case, in full costume at last -- as Hope Van Dyne and Scott Lang, a.k.a. Wasp and Ant-Man. While we've seen Lilly before in part of her suit, this is the first time we've seen her fully transformed into her insect-monikered alter ego, and we're loving all of her outfit's subtle nods to her winged inspiration.
The photo is practically buzzing with anticipation, and we are too, especially considering Lilly's previous comments about the characters' adventures in this new chapter. According to the actress, the events of "Ant-Man and the Wasp" will have a major impact on the "Avengers" universe, potentially opening up new timelines for Marvel characters to explore on the big screen for years to come.
Of course, we'll have to wait for the sequel's premiere -- not to mention the May release of "Avengers: Infinity War" -- to know more. "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is due to hit theaters on July 6.
