The best thing about this
"Jimmy Kimmel Live" video isn't even the "deleted scene" from
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," although that is hilarious and includes cameos from
"The Lego Movie" Batman
Will Arnett and Kimmel's resident nemesis,
Matt Damon.
No, the real treat is the build-up, with Jimmy Kimmel looking near tears as guest
Ben Affleck gently breaks the news that his "too awesome" scene was cut from the final film. It's played to perfection. But Kimmel brightens when Affleck reveals that he brought the bonus scene to show the JKL audience. "Oh, this is good," Kimmel says, "More people will see this than that stupid movie!"
So here's the clip, with Affleck,
Henry Cavill, and
Jesse Eisenberg shooting a new fake version of their trailer scene, this time adding Kimmel. Bless them for that. And it is kind of strange that no one just outs Superman and Batman like this, when it does seem pretty obvious who they are.
The video is 9 minutes long, but stay for all of it for Will Arnett's Lego Batman cameo and, of course, Matt Damon on Mars.
